The Vidéothèque Archives

Visit the archive

A meticulously organized mobile archive of Vidéothèque’s expansive film catalog, designed to honor the visual culture and communal rituals of cinephilia. Drawing on the bold typography, high-contrast palettes, and unconventional layouts of the French New Wave, the interface transforms each title into both a data point and a cinematic artifact. Users can browse by genre, director, country, year, or curated collections, echoing the tactile pleasure of wandering the store’s physical shelves. Minimalist yet expressive, the design merges my love of film, design, and archiving, while spotlighting key visuals, metadata, and cross-references that encourage deep discovery. Concept, design, and development by me.
